The folks over at PC Perspective did a review on ATI and NVIDIA upgraded Vista drivers and how they perform unda pressure. Check it out HERE. If you don't wanna read I'll tell you how it ends. (Spoiler!!) They basically said if your a gamer wait until they get their Vista driver shit down before converting your OS. But if you just gotta get the new Vista, ATI is the Card to have at the moment.
